Why the conversion needs review
CAMT.053 supports a richer hierarchy than MT940. Field 86 and transaction codes can be proprietary, while MT940 references and narratives may not provide every structured party or transaction detail expected downstream.
Use the output as a mapping draft. Confirm bank-specific field rules, balance types, entry status and the target CAMT namespace before using the XML in reconciliation or treasury workflows.
